Remember everyone.

Rootkeep is a small, private app for keeping up with the people you care about. Every morning it shows you who to reach out to, and why.

Two phones running Rootkeep. The first shows the Home screen: a “Good afternoon” greeting, three open promises, and a Reach out list - Emma whose birthday is tomorrow, Dr. Linda Chen twenty days quiet, Jake Morrison eleven days. The second shows the log sheet ready to be written in: who, what happened, and a field asking about any follow up. Floating over the two: a Reach out card holding Jake and Emma, a phone notification reading “Follow-up reminder - you promised Tom: send the insurance docs”, and a message typed in plain words, “coffee with Ben yesterday, he’ll send the tile quote Friday”.

The Home screen

Who needs you today.

Open the app and the list is waiting: friends going quiet, birthdays coming up, promises you made. Three at most, never a guilt trip.

The Rootkeep Home screen: a greeting reading Good morning, one open promise to introduce Jake to the flooring guy, and a Reach out list of three people - Jake Morrison eleven days overdue, Emma whose birthday is today, and Diane Patel five days overdue.

Three is a list you can finish before the coffee goes cold.

The log sheet

Log it in a sentence.

Who you saw, what happened, done. If you type a follow-up, it turns into a reminder by itself - you never set one by hand. The notification below is what shows up on your phone.

The Rootkeep log sheet: Ben Kowalski selected, a note about coffee at his site office, the type coffee chosen, and a follow-up reading send him the grout color pick. Floating off the corner of the sheet, the phone notification that follow-up becomes: Rootkeep, follow-up reminder, you promised Ben, send the grout color pick.

The whole loop takes thirty seconds.

Open loops

Promises, kept.

Every “I’ll send you that” you type stays on your Home screen until you do it. Check it off and a green toast celebrates with you.

The Promises block: sending Tom Andersen the home insurance docs is checked off in success teal, drafting the Q3 analytics role pitch for Rachel Kim and introducing Jake Morrison to the flooring guy are still open. A green toast underneath reads all promises kept.

When you need someone

Ask your people.

Need a contractor, an introduction, advice? Ask in plain words and Rootkeep searches your own people and notes for the answer. It never saves anything without asking you first.

Optional. Off until you switch it on.

Read more about the advisor

A conversation with the Rootkeep advisor. You ask who in your contacts can help with the bathroom renovation. It answers with three people: Ben Kowalski, your contractor at BK Renovations; Jake Morrison, your college friend and a principal architect who offered to help pick flooring and is eleven days overdue for a catch-up; and Carlos Ruiz, your neighbour who knows every contractor in the area. Then it asks whether it should draft a message to Jake.

Allies and advisors

Goals with faces on them.

Name something you’re working toward and link the people who can help you get there. When you open a goal, you see the faces.

A goal card reading finish the bathroom renovation, three months, personal, two of six milestones done. Linked to it: Ben Kowalski of BK Renovations, tagged ally, and Jake Morrison, principal architect, tagged advisor.

Nobody means to lose touch. It happens one busy week at a time.

Private by design

Nothing to leak, nowhere.

Rootkeep is a notebook of the people you care about. Nobody in it is a lead.

On your phone.
Your data is a single file on your phone (SQLite). Sync, if you turn it on, goes through your own iCloud - Rootkeep has no servers to send it to.
Your key, your AI.
The AI advisor runs on your own key, straight to Anthropic. Names are swapped for codes before a request leaves your phone, and swapped back when the answer arrives. Emails and phone numbers never leave at all.
Nothing to sell.
No account, no analytics, no ads. There’s nobody to sell your data to, because it never reaches anyone but you.
